Cranky Professor has moved!

Everyone's favorite Cranky Professor has relocated to a snazzy new site at www.crankyprofessor.com! Get out the bundt cakes and the ambrosia and drop by to say welcome to his new home.

Love the new look, and welcome to the MT Revolution: guaranteed to resuscitate the horrid tech economy, through the requirement of always-on internet, racks of servers at webhosts, and increased data storage requirements.

Now please - I'm begging you - change your text color to black (from gray).

I'm serious about that MT-economy thing, too. Just you watch...

Yep, Scott - one of the things that held me back from MT for a while was the fact that every MT blog seemed to be LIGHT GRAY, not just gray. I couldn't read 'em. I thought it was the software. Then folks started to interfere with their templates, and it was clear it was a FEATURE. The designers seem to like pale interfaces. Me, I like to resize all my word processing documents to 150%. I'm 40. I need the help.

By the way - I've been down the Brazos! College, Rice, long ago, beer, fun, etc.

Oh - and in terms of fueling the tech economy, my laptop is now 15 months old - I get to replace it on the College purchase plan in 9 months, so another few K.5 will trickle into the tech sector then. One of the two or three best things about having a real professorial job is the access to regular hardware replacement!

It's just the stylesheet. It's stored in your templates under the filename "styles-site.css." You can change the colors and font size -- you can even remove the font sizing altogether -- by altering the code.

As to why they like the gray-on-white... I have no idea. It _looks_ nice at first, until you actually try to read it.
