Post 9/11 Commuting Notes

I snapped a few pictures of commuting landmarks, including the physical manifestation of our trade deficit off the Turnpike and the ferry that has replaced my old PATH train ride to the World Trade Center (last taken 9/11, emerging around 8:00AM). Of course, there's a skyline picture.

This might be of passing interest to non-New Yorkers.

Even now it still seems a bit unreal. When I worked in NY many years ago, I used to commute in from New Jersey via the PATH as I worked in the WTC.

I *hated* that commute but the idea that the PATH into WTC is actually gone seems... somehow absurd, like the person saying it didn't hear my question correctly.

I was in the WTC last June for a visit with my friends from Croatia so could show them the best view in town and for them to take pictures. I still don't quite believe it.

I have many more pictures I'll dump into the Notes page at some point.

Where is that station located? I used to live halfway between Exchange Place and Pavonia/Newport.
