Obligatory money grubbing

I'm not much of a one for pledge drives. But a couple of people have asked how they could foster my amateur efforts here, so here's the scoop. Want to help support the site? (My student loan officer is huuuuuungry . . . ) There's always the traditional "say it with cash" approach, conveniently facilitated by that Amazon tip jar you see at your left (UPDATE: er . . . right. Must be weak from lack of food . . . ). But if you don't have any money to give (or just don't want to give me any money, which is, incidentally, probably a wise decision on your part), you can still help support my loan officers in the style to which they have become accustomed, by clicking on the ads below.

My google ads pay me every time you click, so browse away! And my BlogAds pay me even if you don't click through, which is all the more reason why you should go see their lovely, lovely websites, and purchase merchandise from those who offer it. Remember: a blogger in default on her student loans is a stressed out, depressed blogger who may not be able to muster the energy to bring you the finest in political, economic, and bullmastiff-related commentary.

But even if you don't do anything, thanks so much for stopping by. Later this week: dog pictures!

Errrr ... three of your four ads currently on the front page appear to be inviting me to pay money to access the FBI and CIA records of other people. I'm not sure that that's absolutely in the strictest sense legal.

No donations until you confirm that Mindles is, indeed, alive...

How about hitting up the RNC for donations? You seem to be shilling enough for 'em (cf. your attacks on Clark), they should throw you a few shillings in turn.

Make with the dog pictures! I'd like to see some Bullmastiffs eating student loan office collection agents.

I will not pay...I will, however, bring house-warming presents to the housewarming party. When is it?

you should put your picture on the site. just like the instaman.

well, it's like gundy said - put up a picture, or get around to finally making that ransom demand for mindless h.

Would love to make a (small) donation to my favorite web log, but isn't the Amazon.com payment service terribly inefficient in terms of money given by the donor compared to money received by the intended recipient, particularly for small donations? May I suggest getting a Paypal account, which I'm told is more efficient. Promise to send a donation when there is a Paypal tip jar or a statement that Jane prefers Amazon!

We want Mindles back! (Nothing personal, Megan, but the two of you blogging together are better than either one alone.)

Posted by: Jane Galt on October 2, 2003 1:36 PM

Why, thank you . . . I can be paypalled at my janegalt -at- janegalt.net address.

Rex, I too want my co-blogger back. And if he'll just tell me where he hid the diamonds, I'll be able to let him out of the dungeon and back at the keyboard. . .

Honestly, i send him begging letters on a regular basis, but he has this job thingy he keeps going on about. He claims he'll be back as soon as his workload lightens.

Megan,

How can we Photoshop pictures of you drinking pureed puppies (or accepting money from the RNC) if you don't put your picture up? Tho I spose we could take pictures of your dog and show him stuffing Democrats into a blender or something...

Actually, I guess Tom doesn't realize that you've been "attacking" Clark because you really want Sharpton to win the nomination, being a NYer and all...
