The esteemed proprietor of Cronaca, David Nishimura, informs me that the statue shown in this post is (loosely) based on the Hercules Farnese (illustrating one of the benefits of a comment section).
Well, fine. Here's some more from the same place. What are these based on? And what are those rabbits doing?

(the pig is vaguely familiar - I thought maybe Bremen Town Musicians, but there was no pig ).
Is that the place on Route 27, just north of Kingston, NJ?
The pig is very similar to the logo for the BBQ restaurant, "Red, Hot & Blue". I can't say about the rabbits ... I know, I just can't say.
I think those are actually long-eared pigs - which, of course, explains everything...
This photo is very upsetting. I can't put my finger on why - I think it's the pig. He looks quite evil.
Now you can own your very own guitar-playing pig for only $5 plus shipping.
Apparently you can also buy a pig playing a banjo, tuba, sax or cello.
I was going to make a nasty joke assigning each statue the identity of prominent rep pols, but you can fill in the blanks yourself...
Mindles! You must be a neighbor. I live on Shady Brook Lane, just off Route 27, across from Lake Carnegie.
Somehow, in months of reading AI, I missed that you lived in the area.
And if you were keeping that a secret, sorry to "out" you.
Jack, we already know each other. I'll email you with details.
Funny.
Oh dear -- is this turning into some sort of nightmarish art history test/contest?
Easy out, though -- I'll just repeat the magic words: "sorry, not my period."
That's a no-brainer. Marilyn Manson concert. The monkey is Marilyn.
Next question!
