Odd tidbit of the day

In the course of one of the off-beat, ever-so-sophisticated conversations we are always having here at my office, we developed the need to know the name of philospher Ronald Dworkin's current girlfriend. Imagine my surprise when I found that our very own site is the third Google hit for the words "Ronald + Dworkin + Girlfriend". Right on the bleeding edge of intellectual gossip, we are.

Anyway, we can't figure out the name from Google. Do any of my readers know the name of the woman he's living with right now? Our interest is strictly curious, not prurient. ;-)

He's not married to Andrea Dworkin? I could have sworn that I read in the New York Review of Books that one of his great pleasures is to go home each day to a house filled with the smells of Andrea's cookies and cupcakes and fried chicken.

Odd tidbit part II: The original word is "titbit" (and still is in Britain, and has nothing to do with boobs); it was changed by easily-scandalized Americans in the 19th century or so.

So I have to Google Mr. Dworkin's name to figure out who he is. Now I'm trying to figure out why I'd be curious about his romances.

If he has a significant other, good for him! Considering I had no idea who he was until literally 2 minutes, 30 seconds ago I really doubt I'd know who his SO would be.

Ever since I read the late great Roger Zelazny's Amber Chronicles, I have been unable to take anybody named Dworkin seriously. OTOH, I can unreservedly recommend the books.

This is a little bizarre. Dworkin is hardly in a stage of life renowned for its tendency towards polygamy. He's also already married to Betsy, or wasn't he?

Don't know the answer to your question but I did just recently learn that the renowned biologist Richard Dawkins is married to Lala Wardwho played Romana on Dr Who in the 70's (the red headed, really hot one )... more gosip for your office.
