silhouette3.JPG From the desk of Jane Galt:

Heaven . . . I'm in heaven . . .

You've probably seen it elsewhere, but let me add to the chorus: Richard Posner and Gary Becker are starting a blog.

As a blog reader, I'm thrilled. As a blog writer, I feel we don't really need the competition in the economics blog area, y'know?

Guess, I should dust off my old "Law and Economics" textbook.

The revolution will be blogged!

For those of us who've never attended U Chi, could you please tell us a little about these folks? Thanks.

Never attended Chicago, but those two are among the smarter people one is going to encounter in blogistan. Posner can't help but be fascinating, even when one disagrees with him. I don't know whether he (or Bush) would want the aggravation of a Posner/Senate confirmation hearing, given Posner's extensive writings on all manner of topics, but it sure would be entertaining as hell to see the gasbags on the judiciary committee make asses of themselves.

Posner did a guest stint at Larry Lessig's blog and he was great.

Don't worry though Megan, I promise to still come here and blog. You have comments, it doesn't look like they will (just trackbacks), and I enjoy comment sections.

Indeed, an interesting service for you to provide (which might boost your traffic) would be to link to every post they do and provide a comments section for the link. If you don't do it, maybe I will. I was thinking of doing it for volokh, but my eyes glaze over when reading a lot of their law stuff. Becker-Posner seems like it could be more balanced.
