On the way back this afternoon, we stopped at Bulls Bridge (Kent, Connecticut):


..to look at the partly frozen Kent Falls:


I do enjoy a long weekend away. Whereas at home there is always some duty nagging at you, A winter weekend getaway is an excuse to read an entire book in one or two sittings in front of the fireplace.

Spent weekends here for 19 years and finally 4 years ago threw in the towel and moved up full time. children love it and the information age makes it possible-love the 21st century

I spent assorted weeks and weekends in Kent at my then-girlfriend-now-wife's home in the mid-90s, but we have not been back since her family moved to Maine. Pictures of one of my favorite places in my favorite blog... I'll take it as a sign. It's just a 2 1/2 hour drive from Jersey. Think I'll take some pictures of my own!
