A little off topic here, but it plays toward the mass misconception idea: I have been reading recent stuff about the insurance enviornment and disaster funding lately. My personal feeling about the capacity of the property insurance market is that most people vastly over estimate it. I have seen information on new or at least novel funding tools too. BUT there has been no discussion about how capital flees from one sector (wind) to another (liability.) Nor have I seen anything on the famous panicing herd behavior that I witnessed between 1975 and 1995.
