The idea that a Johnson strength as president was how he responded to criticism on Vietnam is certainly an.... interesting interpretation of the historical record.
"Interesting interpretation"? More like "lie"! Especially considering his war policy was what forced him not to run in 1968. When you can rewrite a sentence in a national magazine and change the important words to their opposites and be nearer the truth, you do feel like you're in Looking-Glass Land.
