We've been nominated for a very special blogging award. And of course, there's still time to vote for my recipe for Citrus Cake, which has made the finals of the Epicurious October recipe contest. I don't think I'll get enough votes to win the refrigerator, but I'm gunning for third place, and with you guys behind me, I just may make it. Remember, you can vote once a day until December 31st, so help me make my recipe stand out.

But I voted anyway.
Because I am a gentleman, I will refrain from commenting on the phrase "my butt still hurts"; I will also vote for you forthwith.
Good luck, my dear. If your recipe doesn't win, my body will be contorted with whining, while sparse, low-salt tears wend through the grimy stubble on my chin, dampening the antique Captain Crunch fragments lodged there, before dripping sullenly on my faded, rumpled Jane Galt sweatshirt. Love hurts.
Well, I voted for you, but when I tried to back track and look at what I didn't vote for, I was blocked--they thought I wanted to vote twice. That doesn't seem to be a very sophisticated system, if you can only look at one recipe before you get bumped.
Has anyone made and tasted the cakes involved in this contest so that we can vote for the citrus cake in good faith that it is actually the best cake?
If it's any consolation, I'm sure your butt is much nicer than that of the Club for Growth.
The Weblog awards have wrapped up, and the Club for Growth thrashed us so hard my butt still hurts.
Your Pearl Harbour comments cost you my vote, and probably several others. Oh, well, there's always next year...
Speaking of butts, the blogress-diva tally lists your site as "Assymetrical Information". Have I been missing certain threads here?
Isn't Assymetrical Information the name of the blog and Jane Galt her blogging alias? That's what we listed it as such.
Dan - I think the above question is more about the "Ass" rather than the "As"
Here's the comment I just left on that blog:
Um... GayPatriotWest, I was commenting on your calling her blog "Assymetrical Information" instead of "Asymmetrical Information." Although I guess one could contend that the word "assymetrical" could be a synonym for "well-rounded." [Rimshot]
Are you sure you want to be a "Conservative Blogress Diva" anyway? Sounds awful weird.
Personally, I can't vote for you in that category because I don't think you apply. I wouldn't call you conservative, certainly not if you're to be considered in the same category as the likes of Michelle Malkin.
RMc -- Jane's snooty British spelling habit is annoying enough, but you cross the line when you alter proper nouns! Pearl Harbour? Then again, I have seen American references to "the Chancellor of the Exchecker" and such, so I wonder what the publication usage guidelines would be...
Jane, you used the spelling "Pearl Harbor" in your earlier posting. What would you use in an Economist article? (and sorry I called your habit snooty before)
I suggest that you take a HARD look at that site. I've never seen anything like it (and I'm gay). They are a very scary bunch. It's not just Malkin. It's Coulter... and worst of all Atas shrugs.
She is a staunch supporter of Santorum for President.
What's wrong with this piture?
Hmmm...would John Galt even care about what anyone thought of his Citrus Cake recipe?
...or about winning an award for his thoughts?
