Aaron Spelling has died. Surprisingly, not by being blown up by an insane neighbour, or shot by a jealous lover.
Incidentally, I'm home sick for the first Saturday evening I've spent in front of the tube in a long while. As far as I can tell, the opinion of the television producers is that if you're home on a Saturday night, you'll watch any damn thing.
Unfortunately, they're right.

I spent Saturday evening until now on the balcony with a bottle of wine. It woulda been medicinal. The drive might of killed you, tho....
Back in the day, we had a whopping four tv stations. Saturday night TV meant getting to stay up late, watching Mary Tyler Moore, Bob Newhart, Carol Burnett and getting a pizza from a little mom and pop place that put the pizza in a bag, not a box.
Digital tuning, Domino's, and TV Land be damned! That was living.
"Dust of Snow" Jane! I hope you feel better soon.
TiVo is helpful for such occasions. And others.
Go on, live a little. Don't let a TV Exec make or break your Saturday night.

Boxed DVD sets tend to be really expensive, and people rarely watch them often. I think getting TV on DVD from Netflix is a better deal.
Well, you can watch boxed DVD Sets acquired via Netflix.
Aaron Spelling?
You know, I never really got into watching 90210, although I do freely admit that I had the major hots for Shannon Doretty. I could not miss an episode of "Charmed" when she was on the show. She had natural beauty, and she didn't have to wear make-up. I was so absolutely bummed when they killer off her character and replaced her with Rose McGowen.
I don't even own a TV...
How do you play Nintendo?
Magnavox composite color video monitor, sold for use with the Commodore 64 and equivalent home computers. We never had a Nintendo, but it worked great as a display for our video tape player.
