A colleague of mine is writing a story about offshore tax havens, and would like to interview people on the topic. Any experts, academic or otherwise, out there, who want to be interviewed by The Economist? We're also accepting related areas of expertise, such as the effects of exit rights. Recommendations for books on the topic, other than the execrable Offshore, are also welcome. Put your info in the comments, or email me and I'll pass it on.

Is the story going to cover Corpos, like Stanley, formerly of New Britain, Connecticut, or "individuals" ?

Jane,

It would be really helpful if you would more fully describe the type of offshore tax havens you have in mind. There is a world of difference between the kind of things wealthy individuals might do, what multi-national corporations might do, etc. Your description of what you are looking for is about as specific as asking for an expert on English literature.

As a retired tax lawyer with a lot of international experience I have to second David's comments above. It is a very big field and very complicated.
