Soooo . . .

I'm definitely being evicted in NYC, as of April 30th. I've got a place to stay through the summer, but my mother needs a place for ten weeks while she's in pulmonary rehab at Mount Sinai. Anyone have a lead on a short-term sublet in New York City that's reasonably priced?

I've got a friend who might be able to help you in the Village, but the units are small.

Come on, reasonably priced housing in NYC - is this a setup for a post on rent control?

Have you tried Kofi Annan's brother? [http://www.truepress.com/index.php?p=633]

What Press said. Maybe you could see if one of those nice investment banking folks at Goldman Sachs could spare you a few hundred thousand dollars of his/her bonus so you could buy a 1-bedroom condo...

Sorry, Jeffy, they can't because the one-bedroom condos next to Goldman Sachs start at a million.

how short-term? craigslist is your best bet, but there are some rentals available around the morningside heights area that are pretty nice

Yes, true, but all you need is a down payment and the ability to pay the mortgage for three months and then you can flip it...so think of it as an investment.
