Have you ever seen William F. Buckley debate Gore Vidal? See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRjZR8j4-z4
Very surrealistic.
That is capitol T: Television. To think about all the history and persective that we'll obtain as more of this is put online and on demand.
Probably less than you think Alan. Sorry about misspelling your name, Megan.
Wow. Popular TV really has dumbed down so much over the decades.
Lord, I'd forgotten how good that show was.
I have read that Dali was an interesting character in his prime, but that he became a self-caricature in his later years.
This clip shows a somewhat agile Dali. Is he feigning the limits of his English for entertainment purposes?
Dali chose to speak English in a tortured and hystrionic way. A hold over from his days as a Dada-ist. In French or Spanish his manner was more natural.
There is an excellent dvd biography of Dali that really captures his extreme bizarreness from his 'agile' youth to his 'self-caricature' in later years. Lots of primary footage. It's just called "Dali" (1986). You can netflix it.
Amazing. The conference that takes place after he says yes to sports is priceless.
That he inspired a school of economic thought deserves to be better known.

And you never will.

P.S. Glad to see you paid your bills.
