silhouette3.JPG From the desk of Jane Galt:

This one goes into the RSS reader

Frankly, I don't think we need any more young whippersnappers in the blogosphere . . . we old cranks need a little job security, you know? In fact, I've been rethinking this whole competition thing. Having spent my whole life learning to be a miserably remunerated web pundit with no benefits and scant job security, I think it's a little unfair to change the rules on me just as I've reached my peak earning years. Nonetheless, for this one, I'm making an exception.

(H/T Ezra)

Update Okay, it would go in the RSS reader if it had an RSS feed.

Political correctness run amok.

Is Edwards supposed to lie about how he really feels, tell the truth and apologize profusely, or report to a reeducation camp?

I don't even recognize the country I was born in anymore.

Is Edwards supposed to lie about how he really feels

Um, yes, of course. That's a minimal part of his job description, and one that too many politicians are failing at recently. It would be better, of course, if politicians could simply shut up about how they really feel, but that seems to be impossible these days. I blame Oprah.

Uh, is this a joke? I get the feeling this is a weird parody, like 'Altmouse.' Whoever it is, they regard DEBKA reports as worth mentioning. That tells me something.

Klug, I read the article as 'straight', honest opinion honestly stated. I agree with the analysis, the conclusions, and the premise. I personally prefer Fred Thompson for President, but agree with Whippersnapper that gay issues is not a place to find fault with Edwards.

Brad: I agree with his assessment (and yours) for that matter. But Matt Y, Ezra K. and Jane all of a sudden put up links to this guy, a.k.a "Mickey Kaus' Worst Nightmare."

The voice is just so different that it's either a really smart, really different high schooler (or however old he is) or ironic sock puppetry.

Wow, it's a college liberal who's in love with his own voice. Next you'll tell me you found a dog that enjoys licking himself.

I'll conceede that I probably like my voice too much, but please, i'm a high school liberal, i'll be totally insufferable in fall of 2008, so let's not jump the gun here.
