Okay, if you knew about the drum circle held every Sunday in Meridian Hill Park, and you did not tell me, you are not my friend any more. That was awesome.

I need to find something like that in Milwaukee now that the younger members of the household have all left town.
Holy cow, they're all over the place Looks like some kind of hippie thing.
Looks like some kind of hippie thing.
That's what I was talking about...
War on Drugs? What war on drugs? It's a a big sham, anyway.
Better watch out, or you will find a drum circle in your basement.
I always thought everyone hated drum circle except the drummers.
Most musicians hate them. Unstructured acoustic jams with three basses are consistently worse though.
This is Jane's former lefty side coming out. My goodness, how I hate drum circles.

I worked on the restoration of a house over there that was supposed to become some sort of community center; I took the wife back there a few years later to discover that it had been let by the city to various NGO groups that had turned it into cheap headquarters space, and it was as securely barred to visitors as the Pentagon.
That was a major step in my choleric journey away from tolerance of the official and unofficial Left; I didn't donate my Saturdays so a bunch of bong-smokers could have cheap office space for subversive activities that enjoyed bureaucratic support.
Are the fountains at Meridian (aka Malcom X) Park up and running again. Great place, but I haven't been there in 3 years or so since I moved to Seattle.
The drum circle though... blech. Although, I admit its kind of nice to hear from a distance... as in 3 or 4 blocks away.
