May I suggest those annoying "comment verification" boxes? I've seen some nice small ones that put numbers under the text-entry spot.
I swear it's the only reason my blog didn't get attacked when I was foolish enough to mention "ron paul" in a post.
The obvious solution, beyond a captcha or other prove-you're-no-bot solution, is to blacklist comments containing only one-string-with-dashes-in-it.
Also, IIRC those were all URL'd to geocities, so that's another obvious blacklist target.
And this is interesting/important because....?
Actually, it's too bad it happened but the best thing to do is just delete it as soon as it happens and don't draw attention to it. Better get stronger email/spam filters.
And this is important for us to see, because?
Seriously, Mindles, by posting this stuff you're just doing the spammers jobs for them.
Surely this blog has something more important to report to its loyal readership than this!
