Welcome to Joe Katzman over at Winds of Change who's starting off strong with a piece on the economics of suicide bombing. Of course, he has to use some fudges, like estimating the reward as a percentage of GDP rather than by PPP (Purchasing Power Parity, which tries to compare per-capita income by measuring how much it would cost to purchase the same basket of goods in different countries) because as far as I'm aware, such figures aren't available.
