Curious Server Errors

I tried to take This Guardian Poll asking " Did Colin Powell present a convincing case for military action against Iraq?", but it won't accept my "Yes" vote. Hmmm.

UPDATE: Despite the experiences of others in the comments, I still get this "Sorry" page when I try.

I just tried it and it accepted my "yes" vote.

Actually, I also voted yesterday and the "yes" votes had quite a lead over the "no" votes.

Guardian tampering??

AS of a few minutes ago, it was approximately 2:1 in favor of Powell.

My 'yes'vote was accepted...

You wouldn't by any chance be trying to "rig" the yes vote would you Mindles. It works fine for me.

Mr. Rogers, above, voted "Yes" twice ?

And he's worried about Guardian tampering ?

Hmm.

Worked for me, but with 52811 votes the margin is now 39-59 against Powell. I'd guess that the totals depend on which web sites are channeling their "mind numbed robots" towards the poll. Lemmings, just Mindles's lemmings we are.

"Lemmings" are so European. I think we're more "Mindles' Dreckettes".

Mindles Dreck may now rest peacefully knowing that I have voted twice in the Guardian poll. What the heck? Who am I to say that those citizens during Chicago Mayor Richard Daily's era were wrong to vote early--and often? Alas, the negative votes now overwhelmingly outnumber the yes. This is so frustrating. It appears that my bit of cheating will be of little value. I live in Texas but I'm too young to have learned from the master, another Democrat, LBJ. Life is indeed not fair.

Of course, we all know how valuable internet polls are. Charles, at Little Green Footballs, illustrated this point nicely, with tongue firmly in cheek: the Who-do-we-attack-next poll. It shows Iraq in third place, after France and Geraldo Rivera.

"...with tongue firmly in cheek: the Who-do-we-attack-next poll. It shows Iraq in third place, after France and Geraldo Rivera."

Tongue in cheek? Sounds like a serious poll to me. I just think that Susan Sontag takes priority over Geraldo. Other than that, it seems sensible to me.

That sounds like perfectly legitimate priorities to me, as long as we're careful no innocent wine bottles get broken while obliterating the French. OTOH, if you catch Geraldo in his natural environment (a TV studio), collateral damage is a big plus. 8-)

Now why would any wine bottles get broken if we took over France? Unless they accidentally knock some over as they raise their hands. You don't expect that there'd be any actual, you know, FIGHTING, do you? I'd expect that they'd plant trees on the Champs Elysee for us to keep us cool, like they did for the Germans...
