. . . but not yet. Jack Shafer tells us why journalists are safe, for now.

Pretty funny, but not as funny as the time the Chinese thought an Onion story was real. I also once heard some old lady share her concerns with Bill Bennett about something she read on Scrappleface. hee-hee

We see little burps like that on Goog News now and then. I'm not inclined to take it that seriously anymore--although I'd like to know how some bloggers get included in their news feeds but others don't.

WHAT? That was a flippin' joke?

I spent my whole weekend digging a fallout shelter in my backyard! I went to Walmart and spent 1,200 bucks on supplies.

Oh, sure, you go ahead and laugh, but when the revolution comes, I'll have plenty of Cheez-Whiz, Spaghetti-O's and Spam!

Heh. That is pretty funny. Dean... I think you have to submit your site somehow. But bloggers are not supposed to be on the newsfeed. It's just that some slip through once in a while. If you send G**gle a letter 'hey, this isn't a news site,' and it isn't, it gets taken off.

BTW... your spam software says G**gle is 'questionable content'.

Google reviews the sites individually. I was told they don't accept blogs as sources though.

Hmmm -- I think it'd be easier to refine the algorithm than it would be to train BBC reporters to check sources on Bhopal.
