Public service announcement

The Overstock.com Christmas ad has now replaced the eHarmony commercials as the most annoying thing on television. Pardon me while I repair to the toolshed and hit myself in the head with a small hammer to knock that stupid tune out.

I don't know. I'm married and even I want to take a gun and shoot all the dumb people in the eHarmony ads. They are stepford level creepy.

Kinda funny that a fan of Tivo would even know what those commercials are. I haven't seen a commercial more than once or twice since I bought me Tivo 2 years ago.

I married a girl from eHarmony.com (really!) and I find the ads annoying.

I continue to find Sabine Ehrenfeld, the Overstock babe, simultaneously very attractive and very annoying. But less attractive and more annoying as time passes.

Congrats, TNC. But please tell us you break a Commandment now and then, ok?

I assume people are referring to the 'Jingle Bells' Overstock.com ads; yeah, that's annoying.

Mike, I'm not quite sure what you're referring to. Is there some kind of religious sanctimoniousness that is now on the ads? I haven't seen one in awhile. (But to be honest, I think I've broken the 3rd, 4th and 5th and 10th this week. )

I'm not particularly gushing or emotional, so that's what's grating to me about them.

TNC, I guess the ads just seemed really, really wholesome. Sanctimony? No, I didn't mean to imply that. Just a slightly different take than yours, I guess. Actually, the couples' being gushingly happy, and the entire ads, are fine with me. Whatever it takes to meet someone - it's rough out there. I met my wife through a personal ad (mine), so there you go.

I've only seen the ad twice and I'm strangely attracted to whetever her name is. It's the whole Xanax thing she's got going on.
