Is it just me or did I detect a Canadian accent in the voice of the order taker, i.e. "it looks like the bean spout sub eh"?

The Windows 95 interface is a clue as to how old this thing is. Perhaps in the old days when this was recorded everyone sounded like that.

Canadians don't eat bean sprouts at all, much less in subs, with the notable exception of the GTA, and south, over to the Hamilton and St. Catherines areas. You know, areas dominated still dominated by the liberals, or the NDP. And, such people tend not to say 'eh', for fear of being mistaken for one of those gouche Albertain CC types.

I read the same sort of thing in script format back when "Supersize Me" and the McDonald's lawsuits were in the news, so either this is several years old or it's not original. Funny, though.

There is a restaurant out here in Seattle that makes you sign a legal waiver that you won't sue them before you order their signature dessert.

They started doing that after a fat guy tried to sue McDonalds.

The cartoon was put together by the ACLU as an attack on the Bush administration's surveillance policy. At first I thought it was a satire on the liberal food police.

The tip-off was at the end, when, as Rex said, it turned serious.

It's actually a pretty good gag. To bad it's propaganda for the ACLU, which isn't a civil liberties organization at all, but rather a group of radical leftists seeking to do whatever harm they can to the United States.
